Monophasic and biphasic describe how a hyaluronic acid filler gel is built: one continuous cross-linked gel, or cross-linked particles carried in a fluid. Buyers search for the term, but most product names do not carry it. We read the gel structure statements on every hyaluronic acid filler listing available in our range. Most that state a structure say monophasic. None of the available listings says biphasic.
How we read the pages
We went through the description, specification and usage fields of each dermal filler listing on 18 September 2026 and recorded what each says about gel structure. We used the same set of listings as our lidocaine table: hyaluronic acid fillers that are available to order, excluding a small number whose product information we have not yet reconciled. One new listing, NEXFILL, was added after that table, which made 32. NEXFILL is no longer available to order (checked 6 October 2026); the counts below are as read on 18 September.
The summary
| What the page declares | Listings |
|---|---|
| Monophasic | 15 |
| Multi-layered phasic | 3 |
| Microbead gel, no phase stated | 3 |
| Particle size mentioned, no phase stated | 3 |
| Nothing stated about structure | 8 |
| Biphasic | 0 |
Monophasic: 15 listings
REVOLAX · CARATFILL (Sub-Q, Deep, Kiss) · CHAEUM PREMIUM (No.1 to No.4) · REGENOVUE (Fine, Deep, Sub-Q) · REGENOVUE PLUS · REVELINA · BONETTA · STARFILL · REPLENGEN · LUXFILL · WELLSFIL · SUNNYFILL (Pink, Green, Blue, Red) · SOSUM · NEXFILL (no longer available to order as of 6 October 2026) · DeneB Classic, which its page describes as a micro-bead monophasic gel.
In every case the statement covers the whole line, so each version of these products is declared monophasic.
Multi-layered phasic: 3 listings
Three pages use a term outside the usual two: multi-layered phasic. VOM defines it on its page as particle-type hyaluronic acid and gel-type hyaluronic acid mixed together, and describes the aim as combining features of both structures. STARDERM and MAYFILL use the same term without describing the mix on the page. On these three, the honest reading is that the page places the product between the two categories rather than in either one.
Microbead or particle wording, no phase stated: 6 listings
HYALDEW, BEADSMAX (Fine, Mid, High) and BEADSMAX Classic describe a cohesive microbead or semi-solid gel produced by a multi-stage process, but none of the three uses the word monophasic or biphasic. LIP STAR, VOLUDERM 20 and E.P.T.Q. mention particle size, or particle homogenisation, again without a phase term.
Particle wording on its own does not settle the question, because it also appears on monophasic pages. Six of the 15 monophasic listings describe particles or particle size as well: REGENOVUE, REGENOVUE PLUS, SOSUM, STARFILL, REPLENGEN and REVELINA. REVELINA's page describes uniform particles and, in the same text, states that it is not a particulate biphasic filler. The phase term is the thing to look for. The word particle is not.
Nothing stated: 8 listings
ELASTY · ELASTY Plus · CELOSOME · NEURAMIS · VOLUDERM (Fine, Deep, Sub-Q) · VOLUDERM 60 Body Shot · REJUVAFILL · MOMM mini. These pages describe the gel in other terms, such as concentration, cross-linking or viscosity, but do not say whether it is monophasic or biphasic. For these, the manufacturer's product information is the reference.
What the two structures are, and how cohesivity and cross-linking relate to them, is set out in reading an HA filler. This table only records which label each page uses.
